This choice must be made now and once a profile is created there is no way to change the profile type.

If you have a hardware device selected, iCUE will give you the option to select a hardware or software profile.
After selecting the profile in iCUE, under settings there is an option "Link profile to programme" is this set?Nope, they're brand new profiles so that field doesn't even get touched, I have checked them anyway to be sure but they're all left blank.The top profile in the list ( you can drag and drop profiles around) is set as the "default" profile.Any time you aren't in a program not set to a profile it'll default to that profile.My hardware profiles are at the top and any software profiles are after them.

To change this you can duplicate the profile and change each one to a different version.

You need them, or rather you did until iCUE 3.27 which will let you do the same thing from any software profile.
