For us the movie ticked all the right boxes, it was encouraging rather than depressing, we learned something we didn't know, it churned up curiosity for more information on back stories and left us feeling warmly inspired. Tom Banks as Walt Disney is fantastic and Emma Thompson carries of P.L. This brings her right into contact with Walt Disney, played by Tom Hanks as a kindly man with a very warm heart.

When Walt Disney's daughters begged him to make a movie of their favorite book, P.L. Saving Mr. Banks's finale is devoted to its 1964 premiere, concluding the story of a story - how the film about the flying nanny was made. That the film is pro-Disney goes without saying.
